A prime example of young meets old, progressive meets traditional, the Jacob Jolliff Band represents the next generation of bluegrass. Mandolin virtuoso of Yonder Mountain String Band and Joy Kills Sorrow, Jacob Jolliff is one of the premiere pickers in the contemporary bluegrass scene. His ensemble has made a name for itself with their original instrumentals, lightning-fast improvisation, and tight vocal harmonies. The group features a rotating cast of innovative young pickers from around the country, including Alex Hargreaves (Grandt Master Fiddle Champion, Turtle Island Quartet, Jerry Douglass), Stash Wyslouch (The Stash! Band, Molsky's Mountain Drifters, The Deadly Gentlemen), and Jeff Picker (Ricky Skaggs, Sarah Jarosz).
