2nd Annual Community Baroque Gathering

Join Early Music Access Project for our 2nd Annual Community Baroque Gathering on Saturday, January 26, 1-5pm at the Municipal Arts Center in Charlottesville!

Instrumentalists will form an orchestra coached by Artistic Director and baroque violinist David McCormick; vocalists will form a choir led by mezzo soprano Tracy Cowart. The two ensembles will come together to rehearse and informally perform a major work during the second half of the event.

This event is suitable for advanced high school and college students, adult amateurs, and professional musicians. All voice types are encouraged to attend; both modern and baroque instruments are welcomed (we will play at A=440).

This exciting networking event is designed to bring together early music lovers and performers for an afternoon of exploration. Coaches David McCormick and Tracy Cowart will provide stylistic advice and historical context for a variety of baroque repertoire to be announced in early January.

Online registration and payment must be completed by Friday, January 11.
