CityDance 2018 Summer Intensive Auditions
Spend a dynamic summer studying with directors and artists from Dance Theatre of Harlem and Koresh Dance Company, with CityDances Ballet Master Stanislav Issaev and other renowned Vaganova teachers, as well as award-winning contemporary choreographers including CityDance's Choreographer-in-Residence Robert J. Priore.
Our signature structure of 1 - 2 week intensives with each professional company or artist, allows young dancers to tailor their summer training to participate in one or all of these summer experiences.
Led by Artistic Director Lorraine Spiegler, CityDance prepares young dancers for 21st century careers with specialized training, rich performance opportunities, and strong connections to the professional dance world.
Intensives are ideal for serious dancers, ages 9-19, interested in a challenging exploration of classical and contemporary training with daily classes in ballet, pointe, pas de deux, modern, contemporary, jazz, and African culminating in an end of intensive performance. Other highlights include masterclasses with guest artists and choreography workshops.
Those interested in joining CityDance mid-season for the Spring 2018 semester are also invited to audition on APRIL 21.
We do allow for walk-ups, however online registration is encouraged and will make the audition process more seamless.

DRESS CODE
Please bring a headshot and a full body shot. These do not need to be professionally-done photos. Photos taken on phones are more than welcome!
Female: leotard, pink ballet tights, pink ballet shoes with elastic straps, black dance shorts/leggings and bare feet for contemporary
Male: fitted black or white t-shirt or tank, men's tights, black or white ballet shoes

PARKING
At our Strathmore location, there is free parking in the Grosvenor/Strathmore Metro parking garage and at the meters along Tuckerman Ln on weekends.
