Using period instruments, this Philadelphia ensemble performs lively, exquisite music from the dawn of the string quartet. Named after Age of Enlightenment polymath Benjamin Franklin, the Franklin Quartet brings a distinct spirit of invention and exploration to its repertoire, while staying historically accurate in performance technique. Individually, the members of the Franklin Quartet are highly sought after as soloists, chamber musicians and orchestral leaders across the United States and abroad. Formed in 2016, Franklin Quartet is proud to be Philly's only period string quartet!
