EXODUS - The Ethiopian Journey
At ten years of age, Avishai Mekonen started on a four hundred mile journey from Ethiopia, crossing the Sudan and making his way to Israel. Avishai and his family were part of the Ethiopian Jewish community known as Beta Israel. His harrowing journey is part of the story in EXODUS: The Ethiopian Journey. A special pass entitles holders to the screening of Israeli Ethiopian director Bazi Gete's film "Red Leaves", an Ethiopian lunch, and a talk by Avishai Mekonen.
