Johnny Cash Birthday Celebration with Marty Wendell & The Bluebillies
Nobody around here knows Cash better than these folks. Capital District gospel & bluesman Marty Wendell toured as Johnny Cash's opening act following the release of Cash's Folsom Prison album. That was just one highlight of a career that has spanned more than 50 years. Tonight he's joined by the hillbilly-bluegrass sounds of The Bluebillies for a celebration of the songs of the Man in Black on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of his birth.
