With expansive harmonies and consummate musicianship worthy of the finest concert halls, Harpeth Rising is an Americana sensation from Tennesee. Called "the future of original string music," this trio's gorgeous sound is the convergence of a classical education and a passion for folk, blues, bluegrass and all things acoustic. Lyrically rooted in the singer/songwriter tradition, their soulful words are sung in three-part harmonies reminiscent of both Appalachia and Medieval Europe. Along with a wealth of original songs and traditional ballads, Harpeth loves to experiment with the standards of classic rock, surprising and delighting audiences with fresh renditions of "Stairway to Heaven," "Norwegian Wood" and more. Violinist Jordana Greenberg and cellist Maria Di Meglio are joined by new member Michelle Younger on banjo.
