JEWISH IDENTITY IN FRANCE AND THE NEW ANTISEMITISM
Our French mini-fest, "Jewish Identity in French Cinema", explores the French-Jewish experience through the lens of film. Setting the stage is a documentary that casts light on the Jew in France today, followed by a talk by author and lecturer Dr. Gunther Jikeli. Dr. Jikeli is a visiting professor at Indiana Universitys Institute for the Study of Contemporary Antisemitism. His most recent book, "European Muslim Antisemitism. Why Young Urban Males Say They Dont Like Jews", provides important insights into the new Antisemitsim in France and elsewhere in Europe. Ticket includes reception with Dr. Jikeli following the screening.
