Caffe Lena returns to the banks of the Battenkill River in Shushan for the final installment of it's four-part series at the Georgi Museum. Tonight we bring you Minneapolis singer-songwriter Ellis Delaney. Funny and wise, thoughtful and uninhibited, with a captivating, crystalline voice and uplifting lyrics. Her indie-pop performances leave her audiences better than she finds them, with softened edges and opened hearts. Her songs are crisp, intensely intimate and at once beautiful and haunting--and you'll have no trouble understanding every single word she sings. Ellis has won pretty much all the top national songwriting awards, released eight full length CDs, been featured on A Prairie Home Companion, and has been seen in our region at both Old Songs Festival and Falcon Ridge Folk Festival. This series has been made possible in part with a Decentralization Grant from the New York State Council on the Arts via Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council.
