The New York Times recently called Caffe Lena "a landmark outpost of folk music in America." With historic photos and recordings and behind-the-scenes stories, Caffe Lena's Executive Director, Sarah Craig, will provide an overview of the venue's storied history, starting with the American folk music revival of the late 1950s and '60s, through five decades of continuous operation, and ending with a look at the exciting future of folk music today. Keene Valley harpist and composer Martha Gallagher, who has played on the Caffe Lena stage many times during the past 25 years, will perform live as part of this program.
