Peanut Butter and the Pen: Love Letters

Does your kid have an appetite for writing? Then come join us for "Peanut Butter and the Pen" - the second in Take My Word For It! and 18 Reasons' 4-part creative writing series for 3-5th graders.

For our February workshop, in honor of Valentine's Day your child will be writing love letters to their favorite foods. Together, we'll taste food, read excerpts from some of literature's greatest writing in praise of food, talk about the art of odes, and then compose our own odes singing the praises of our favorite food. Each child will write an original piece and then mount it on decorative paper to create a one-of-a-kind Valentine.

Workshop leader Sondra Hall, is the Director of "Take My Word For It!", a creative writing program offering classes in after school programs and community-based settings throughout the Bay area.
