Searching for "the shaman that lives inside the guitar" has led Willy Porter on a musical and personal odyssey spanning more than two decades, ten albums, and multiple continents. With his "spit-fire-percussive acoustic guitar strumming and fiery chord picking" (Billboard) he has a knack for turning first-time listeners into die-hard fans. For this CD Release Tour (2015's "Human Kindness") he is traveling with singer Carmen Nickerson. This righteous indie-folk duo has worked with Jethro Tull, Tori Amos, Paul Simon, and Jeff Beck on stages around the world. Their live shows are guitar driven events- equal parts grit, soul, and muscle - that are electrifying, dynamic, and wholly original. Nickerson's playful singing style pairs exquisitely with Willy's grooves to add fresh layers and new depth to the songs.
