Cheese is hot. This much we know. Not coincidentally, its popularity is going hand in hand with the increasing number of new cheeses introduced at the cheese counter seemingly daily. While this is great news, it does create confusion for the consumer. How do you know what to buy?

Join Rainbow Grocery cheesemonger and author Gordon Edgar and San Francisco author and American cheese expert Laura Werling for an evening of stories, tastings, and lessons that will help you attack that cheese display like a pro. Gordon will read from his aptly titled book Cheesemonger, which tells the story of his unlikely path to becoming the highly respected cheese guy he is today while weaving in information about how to understand and buy cheese. Between readings Laura Werlin will take you on a tasting journey of cheeses to further your understanding of cheese and help navigate the cheese counter more easily. But that's not all. Laura will teach the basics of cheese and wine pairing and impart tips for entertaining with cheese, wine, and accompaniments along the way as well.
