Each month we pick one cookbook to cook (or in this case, bake) from. Then a group of us gather for a potluck of shared dishes from the chosen book. The selection for May is Good to the Grain: Baking with Whole Grain Flours by Kim Boyce, a chef who knows a thing or two about baking impressively delicious treats. She has cooked alongside legendary chefs Mario Batali, Nancy Silverton, Lidia Bastianich, and Alice Waters to name a few, and was the executive pastry chef at Spago and Campanile in Los Angeles. After becoming a mom, Kim set out to discover the world of whole grain flours, from amaranth to quinoa, and ended up with this collection of 75 enticing recipes. If you want to explore this WHOLE new world with us, grab a ticket to the potluck while you can! Extra! Extra! Author Kim Boyce will be joining us for this gathering. Come meet her, get your book signed, and taste one the recipes as prepared by the grain master herself.
