Total Control - One of the best Record Stores in the States -
Goner Records - is putting on a great show with one of my favorite bands in recent years, Total Control (from Australia). Wish I could be in Memphis for that.....
Current World Events! - You can't go wrong attending any one of the events The World Affairs Council puts on. Their events are always interesting, thought provoking, and informative. This event is a Books Without Borders Workshop with everyone's favorite librarian Nancy Pearl.
Profile Picture: Jack Hawley, my grandfather, in his 1939 Ballard High School baseball uniform. In his last game for Ballard, he pitched 9 innings and 21 strikeouts at the old Sick's Stadium in Seattle. After graduation, the pro scouts called, but so did WWII.
