Join us for Thompson Street Opera Company's 2013 season opener! Featured on our opening weekend is Marcus Maroney's "Dust of the Road," with a libretto by Kenneth Sawyer Goodman, the namesake of the famed Goodman Theatre in Chicago. Following this Louisville Premiere will be a teaser for next week's featured production: Andrey Komanetsky's "Bobok," a riotous romp of an opera based on a Dostoevsky short story.

"Dust of the Road" is an allegorical tale about regret and redemption. The emotional events of the story are set into motion by the unexpected visit of a mysterious tramp, who seems to know quite a lot about husband and wife Peter and Prudence.
