This Indigenous Arawak Islander was born in the U.S Virgin Islands by way of Trinidad, Jamaica and St Vincent. Richie moved to New York at age 12 landing in Brooklyn where It didn't take long to realize his love for music as a form of expression and fun. Richie began singing in local talent shows on the underground scene between NY, Philly and NJ often gaining local fans. Inspired by artist such as Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder, Tupac, Super Cat,and U2 this talented artist began experimenting with mixing styles of R&B,Reggae, Pop, Dance, and Hip hop. Richie Lane began performing at bigger venues such as the New Jersey International Reggae festival opening for a host of Today's top Reggae artist further homing in on his Caribbean roots. To date we have this young talented producer, songwriter, musician, singer and skilled entertainer who has had the opportunity to work with some of today,s top artist such and Wycleff and Akon. Ready and willing to express his musical vision. It is a much needed fresh sound that is sure to cross many genre's of the music and entertainment world. When asked if one word could describe you Richie simply replies "LOVE".
