Hella Gay Prom VII: Arabian Nights

Hella Gay Prom 7 is just around the corner! This year's theme is "Arabian Nights". Costumes are always encouraged, but not mandatory.

Hella Gay Prom is Positive Images' annual Prom. It is a safe place for LGBTQQI youth to dance and socialize, without the worries of homophobic or trans*phobic bullying. It is sponsored by Positive Images, the local LGBTQQI youth organization. The dance is organized by the youth leadership, and is one of our main social events. We also have a homecoming dance in the Fall.

Ages: 14 - 24, ID required (all picture IDs accepted)

THIS IS A SUBSTANCE (Drug & Alcohol) FREE EVENT.
THERE WILL BE SNACKS & REFRESHMENTS, as always ;)

GUIDELINES:

Please keep your clothing and costumes on and secure at all times. Our rules are less strict than a school dance, but we still need you in clothing that covers you. This is not SF Pride. All private areas must be securely covered. We are not here to get in an argument over the natural beauty of the human body. This is a dance that has minors and adults attending, and to keep it like this we need you to dress according to the rules.

**Since the ladies can't take their shirts off, neither can the gentlemen. Thank you.**

SUPERVISION:
This is often brought up by parents! We have a group of adult volunteers and parents who supervise the dance. They oversee the parking lots, bag check, drinks and food, and the front door.
All adult volunteers are either parents of children in the support groups, P.I. Board Members, past members, leaders of the many support groups we offer, or committed adult volunteers. All adult volunteers must apply to the organization and are interviewed by our Co-Director Jim Foster, MFT.

PHOTOGRAPHY:
The pictures taken at the dance are loaded on to the photographer's website. There will be information on how to access the photos is at the dance, to respect those of the attendees who may not be out yet.
