Trend Presentation - Fall/Winter 2013

The evening will start with wine and hearty appetizers and a chance to network with industry professionals. (Special thanks to Girly Girl Wines for their sponsorship here!).

For the first hour, (6:00 to 7:00 PM), Jilly Eddy, who founded Lipsology - the Art and Science of Lip Print Reading, will interpret your lip print that you will be making on a Kiss Card from your own new Julep lipstick. Julep is sponsoring their lipstick trios, so you can take home a boxed set of three shades and try out the newest addition to their beauty product line.

The video presentation starts at 7:00 PM which will highlight the Fall/Winter 2013 trends identified as the most important from a group of high profile industry panelists who reviewed 3,600 slides taken from Paris, London, New York, and Milan runway shows and condensed them down to the top looks that will be highlighted in the US market.
The panel included-

Marylou Luther - Creative Director for FGI, editor of the International Fashion Syndicate and former fashion editor for the Los Angeles Times and Chicago Tribune. She was awarded the CFDA Eugenia Sheppard award for Fashion Journalism, and Women in Communications.

Colleen Sherin - Fashion Director, Saks Fifth Ave

Ana Maria Pimentel, Fashion Director, Womens Accessories Neiman Marcus

Julie Gilhart - Fashion Consultant, former SVP and Fashion Director for Barney's New York

Amy Synnott D'Annibale - Beauty Director, InStyle Magazine

Bryanboy - Fashion Blogger

We will have a panel of industry experts from Seattle discuss these top trends and how they translate to the Pacific Northwest. We are excited to announce our lineup of guest speakers as follows -

Moderator - Lizzie Parker, (Designer for the Lizzie Parker and Lizzie Parker Studio labels, NBC Fashion Star Contestant, and Business Development Manager, Womens for Zulily)

Apparel - Adam Moon - (Trend Director Nordstrom, Womens)

Home - Heather Kirk Riley - (Interior Designer, Kirk Riley Design, and FIDM Alumni)

Fashion Editorial - Lauren Foster, (Assistant Editor of 425 Magazine)

You will hear from our experts on what you will be seeing in the Northwest...with a spin on how these trends carry into Home. This will be followed by a fashion show with some of our designers in the FGI Mentorship program. We will then open the floor for Q&A.

Don't forget to have your picture taken by our FGI banner so we can post your picture on our fb page and website. Ilya's Photography will be taking formal and candid shots all thru the night and will post all of the pictures of the event on his website afterwards.

We also want to extend a special welcome to all of the Pacific Northwest FIDM alumni that will be attending this event for their annual reunion!
