FREE Bellevue College Planetarium Shows

SPRING AND SUMMER QUARTER SCHEDULE:
April 26: 7:00 (kids show) & 8:30 PM
May 31: 7:00 & 8:30 PM
June 28: 7:00 & 8:30 PM
July 26: 7:00 (kids show) & 8:30 PM
August 30: 7:00 & 8:30 PM

Join us in the Willard Geer Planetarium at Bellevue College to view ""The Little Star That Could", "The Night Sky", "Stars", "Black Holes", or "Violent Universe" and stay to take a tour of the night sky using our state-of-the-art Digistar 3 planetarium projector.

The 7:00pm shows on April 26 and July 26 will be geared towards young children (ages 7 and under). All other shows are not recommended for kids under the age of six.

If the weather is clear, come to the planetarium(room B244) at 6:30 PM to check out sun spots OR stay late after the 8:30 show to check out the stars in real life on the roof of the B building!**

**These events will be cancelled in the case of clouds, rain, or snow.

TICKETING PROCEDURES:

RESERVED SEATS: Fifty (50) seats for each show will be released on Brown Paper Tickets (this website) ONE WEEK in advance of each show date starting at 8 AM. There is a limit of 5 seats per reservation.

When you make a reservation your name will be added to our reserved seat list. There are NO physical tickets for free shows.

WALK-IN ADMISSIONS: Additional seats will be available for those who were unable to reserve advance tickets online.Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.All remaining seats in the planetarium will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis.

No food or drink is allowed in the planetarium.

The Geer Planetarium is located in Room B244 on Bellevue College's Main Campus. Visitors are invited to park in the parking garage and walk west across the street to the B-building. The planetarium is located on the 2nd floor.

Because the room is dark during the show, there is NO late admission.

The Geer Planetarium at Bellevue College is the only community college planetarium in Washington state. The planetarium's Digistar 3 projector can accurately reproduce the night sky any time of the year or night at any location within 900 light years of the Sun. It can show the stars position in three dimensions, and allow realistic journeys through space.

Free community planetarium shows at the Geer Planetarium are sponsored by the Science and Math Institute (SAMI) at Bellevue College.
