Musicollaborative Multi-Age FamJam
for children 18 months - 6 years accompanied
by a participating adult
Facilitated by Elementary & Early Childhood Music Specialist Kaya Martínez
Hosted by the Annette West Music Studio
(in uptown New Orleans near Tipitina's)
Limit 3 children per participating adult;
$35 for 1st child; $25 for 2nd; $15 for 3rd
Our FamJam Playshops are small-group, community-based sessions designed for young children and the special adults in their lives to explore listening, singing, moving, playing and creating together. All sessions integrate hand percussion and time is allowed for exploration and improvisation. The carefully selected and diverse repertoire emphasizes positive vibrations drawn from Blues, Jazz, Afro-Caribbean and Latin grooves, as well as other soulful sounds of the Crescent City and South Louisiana. As lagniappe, each participating family will leave with a musical instrument to continue their collaboration at home!
