Come to Your Senses! - Foundations for Ecological Literacy
In six 3-hour sessions, the Come to Your Senses! Foundations for Ecology Literacy workshop series will provide you with a unique set of tools for observing, understanding, and interacting with the world around you. Through an integrated curriculum of perceptual training, Gaia theory, naturalist and tracking knowledge, bird language,  communication through story-telling, and the honing of a designer's mind, this series will have a profound impact on how you take in, relate to, and communicate with the living world. With an expanded ecological literacy, you will also discover a deeper sense of awareness, place, purpose, community, and compassion.

Workshop series dates: Wednesdays 3:00PM - 6:00PM July 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 and Aug 7

Price: $300 OR $325 to support those who are unable to pay the full price.

Six 3-hour sessions will cover:

1) Perception, Observation, Awareness
2) Animate Earth/Gaia Theory
3) Naturalist Knowledge and Tracking
4) Bird Language and other messengers
5) Oral Story and Mythtelling
6) Designer's Mind and Livelihood

*We strongly encourage the participation of graduating high school seniors, college students, young adults, parents or parents-to-be, educators/mentors, gardeners, outdoor recreationalists, permaculture designers, or professionals who find their careers leave little time to slow down and observe.*

A casual and optional get together will be held one evening each week for participants to watch related videos, talk, share food, and go deeper into what is covered in the workshops. The series will have a potluck finale.
