123D Make with the Laser Cutter

123D Make, a free download, is one of Autodesk's newest software offerings for the Maker crowd. With it you can import a 3D model and use it to create amazing plans to build-your own objects in three dimensions. Create animals, boats, car models, or even a human head using a variety of construction methods and materials. Stacked slices, radial slices, curves and slotted pieces all create a unique looking real-world objects for you to construct.

The Epilog Legend 36EXT Lasercutter is a versatile tool. It will cut and engrave many types of materials ranging from acrylic, wood, plastic-laminate, and even mother of pearl. It can engrave and mark anodized or painted metal, glass, marble and stone. The laser excels in fine, intricate work and paper cutting is one of the best ways to introduce this machine as a creative tool for your projects.
