Learning to Spin
Introduction to the spinning wheel, starting with the basic techniques: Getthe feel of the spinning wheel. It takes a while to get the hang of spinning, tocoordinate the feet and hands to create a thread. As your skill grows, try outdifferent wools to feel the difference they make in your spinning. During the afternoon students will enlarge their spinning skills by learning to use the woolen orworsted techniques to produce yarns for different uses.
$175 (materials included). Spinning wheels will be provided. If you have a wheel please feel free to bring it. Wheels can also be rented after the class for $10 a week.
