Friday, November 10th, Napa Valley Film Festival Special Event: mountain bike ride, lunch and screening of Blood Road
Join Rebecca Rusch, 7x World Champion in sports ranging from adventure racing to whitewater rafting to 24-hour solo mountain biking, author, activist, and filmmaker for a bike ride, lunch and screening of her documentary Blood Road.
About the film:
Although she is used to pushing her body to its limit, nothing could prepare ultra-endurance mountain biker Rebecca Rusch for the emotional journey she took in 2015 when she pedaled 1200 miles of the Ho Chi Minh Trail in search of the site where her father's, a US Air Force pilot, plane crashed during the Vietnam War. As part of the 2017, Napa Valley Film Festival (NapaFilmFest.org), we are thrilled to be able to have Rebecca with us - to ride, dine and talk about her journey in creating this powerful documentary.
EVENT DETAILS:
Friday, November 10th.
Start the morning with an espresso and snack at Clif Family Winery. The ride heads up the lower section of Howell Mountain (paved) onto the trails of Moore Creek Park. Ride time is approximately two hours.

Post ride, enjoy lunch and a glass of wine at Clif Family Winery. After lunch we will walk to the Cameo Theater on Main Street in St. Helena for the Blood Road screening and post film Q&A. Then, enjoy a glass of wine at the Film Festival's wine pavilion at Farmstead a Long Meadow Ranch. This will no doubt be a great day on and off the bike. Special ride guest Chef Chris Cosentino.
EVENT DETAILS:
8:30am - meet at Clif Family Winery, 709 Main Street, St. Helena
9:00am - ride departs (2 groups based on experience level)
11:30am - Clif Family winery lunch and wine
12:40pm - walk to Cameo Theater, 1340 Main St, St Helena (an 8 minute walk) to our reserved seats
1:15pm - film begins, followed by Q&A
3:30pm - walk the Napa Valley Film Festival Wine Pavilion at Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch (across from Clif Family Winery - an 8 minute walk)
100% of net proceeds of this event will go to the Napa Valley Community Fund for fire disaster relief.
