Ruins and Brotherhood Off-Broadway
RUINS
Hazel and Jude have known one another since birth. When they return home to Chicago as adults, the polite lies between them begin to fall apart. RUINS explores the uncomfortable distances between friendship and love, intimacy and hate, and whether those distances really exist at all.
A one act play in three scenes over the course of seven years, RUINS is a darkly comic exploration of the friendzone by Chicago playwright Hope Rehak.
BROTHERHOOD
An alpha male, a gamer, an artist, and a geek walk into a basement..
Dean, a (young) mans man works for his dads company, living off of his dads money in a duplex his dad paid for. Wyatt lives with him, and no ones really sure what Wyatt does other than play video games. These two young men are Reeds idols, everything he wants to be and everything he isnt. Miriam couldnt care less, but tonight shes walking into the basement and Reed is going to have to decide between joining the Brotherhood, or breaking it.
BROTHERHOOD is a suburban dark comedy that wrestles with the dynamics and power plays between young people desperate for validation and identity even if it means finding it in the most toxic relationships.
