Hosted by Lauren O'Neill (Ms. Hattie Hotpants) this workshop offers new and intermediate public speakers a chance to refine and expand their repertoire in a fun and supportive environment.

Anyone who has seen a bad MC can tell you how they flopped, but can you describe how a GOOD MC does it? Making that illusive magic is the goal of this workshop-how to stay with your audience while staying on task within the performance.

*improvisation exercises and skills to increase your ability to handle anything on stage

*experience and observation based tools that can help you "read" an audience and tailor your approach on the spot

*intention and motivation focusing exercises to clarify and polish what you're delivering on stage at all times

Lauren will share over 8 years of Burlesque and Variety hosting, private event as well as benefit, fundraising and event hosting experience for YWCA, SideWalk, SafePlace, The Washington Center for the Performing Arts and more.
