A Wild Edibles & Mushroom Walk with Lunch, Piermont, NH

Who could ask for more than a walk in the woods on a beautiful early fall day in New Hampshire...UNLESS...it is to:

"Spend the day walking and studying with Les and Nova; you will never quite look at the woods the same." Learn to appreciate the various edibles and mushrooms that are encountered and how to correctly identify and harvest them. When you finish, you will realize that there are any number of mushrooms, if you practice the simple basic skills you learn this day, you will have the confidence to eat the fruits of your labor!

Event will happen rain or shine so come prepared and dressed for a walk in the woods.

10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Habitat Walk - Meadow & Mixed Forest
2:00. p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Lunch and Recap

Lunch, which is included, will consist of wild and farm raised food!

A "Guide to Wild Harvesting & Ethics" and a "Mushroom ID Spore Print Card" for future use will be provided as PDF downloads for each participant.

This past fall, Nova and Les participated in Terra Madre 2016 as U.S. Delegates.

Nova and Les returned to Guatemala to lecture at the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala on the Neotropical/Temperate mushroom similarities they encountered during their invited participation at the "7th International Workshop on Edible Mycorrhizal Mushrooms" in Antigua, Guatemala as invited presenters and Field Trip Leaders. They have been featured, both nationally and internationally, for their knowledge on wild plants and mushrooms.
