Rug Hooking Workshop at Landis Valley
During this one-day workshop, learn the basic techniques and the history of traditional rug hooking and several ways to finish a piece. You will also learn to transfer a design and how to prepare and cut wool strips. Pre-registration is required.
About the instructor: Mary Lynne Naples has been hooking since 2001 when she retired from a 30-year teaching career. She is a member of the Association of Traditional Hooking Artists. She enjoys demonstrating at local events, speaking about rug hooking for community groups, and teaching beginners. She is a member of the Woolwrights ATHA chapter and the Brandywine Rug Hooking Guild.
Hours:9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Class Cost:$100 per person
Cancellation policy: All materials must be pre-purchased by the instructor, therefore cancellations can only be refunded prior to September 18.
