Consent Rocks Incident Response Training - Pittsburgh, PA
The Consent Rocks Incident Response training is a way for events and organizations to constructively respond to incidents as well as promote consent during play and other interactions. The procedure is based on contemporary research and practices in sexual trauma and domestic abuse intake methods, motivational interviewing techniques, and psychological first aid among other sources. Consent Rocks Crews have been usefully integrated into events of many kinds including Dark Odyssey, ROPECRAFT, RambleGRUE, and others.
The goal of this training is to prepare attendees for the wide variety of incidents and interactions they may encounter as part of an Consent Rocks Crew, providing them with the tools of support, listening, and understanding that can help everyone involved find a constructive path beyond the incident. The training takes one entire day, and we recommend you bring a notebook, comfortable clothes, and any specific snacks you may need. The class will have a one-hour break for lunch with a light lunch provided or the chance to visit area restaurants. Some refreshments will be provided, as well as handouts to take with you after the training.
Doors will open at 9:30 a.m.!
