Brew For Autism 2017
Pour Standards and the Richmond County Beer Club (RCBC) present the 3rd Annual "Brew for Autism" on April 22, 2017 at The Great Hall at Snug Harbor.
Brew for Autism is a beer culture event, with 100% of proceeds benefiting Autism Speaks and other Staten Island Autism non-profit organization. Autism Speaks is the world's leading autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism, increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders, and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. Additionally, like last year, other local non-profit organizations that work with Autism will be participating.
As a result of the great community support, Brew for Autism has raised over $40,000 since its inception. In 2014, we raised over $9,000. In 2015,we raised over $14,000. Last year, for 2016, we raised over $17,000. In 2017, we want to beat those numbers, but we need your support.
Each ticket includes:
- Unlimited samples of unique homebrews (including beers, ciders, and meads), all created by local NYC area home brewers
- Samples of craft beer selections
- Food provided by select local restaurants
- A commemorative sampling glass
Clubs are important to the community in a number of ways. They provide a place for individuals to come together and discuss similar interests, as well as create opportunities for members to learn more about their passion. For our two clubs, Pour Standards and Richmond County Beer Club, supporting our community has been our highest priority.
Brew for Autism is important for us because it allows us to give back. For a modest contribution of $55 dollars ($65 the week of), attendees will be able to enjoy a selection of beer samples provided by local breweries and homebrewers from the NYC metro area.
For those looking for safe transportation to or from Brew for Autism, Mid Island Car Service is an official transportation sponsor. Attendees can make a reservation with Mid Island Car Service through Thursday, April 20th.
To reserve a cab for the event, simply email reservations@midislandcars.com, with the subject line "Brew for Autism," and include the information below:

- Number of Passengers
A portion of the cab fare will be donated to Autism Speaks.
