Thistle Theatre Presents: Three Billy Goats Gruff

One day, the two younger Billy Goats Gruff, Kid and Junior go off in search of green, green grass and are startled by a River Troll! After much begging, and against his better judgment, the River Troll agrees to build them a bridge to the green, green grass. When Big Billy sees the bridge, he refuses to let them cross because, Where you find a bridge you are sure to find a bridge troll. Kid cannot resist and starts across the bridge. Whos that trip-trapping across my bridge? Its the cranky Bridge Troll and he is not about to let anyone pass. Will the Three Billy Goats Gruff ever get to eat the green, green grass on the other side of the bridge?

The production features Bunraku, full body, and rod puppets. Thistle Theatre specializes in tabletop Bunraku, an ancient Japanese style of puppetry. Talented ensembles of puppeteers perform all character voices and songs live in a production directed by Jean Enticknap with music and songs by Sue Ennis.
