Evento

Gifts of War
The flares have gone up from Troy, signaling the end of the 10 year war. The main character, Nemesis, (played by Ana Maria Campoy, has infiltrated Clytemnestra's palatial house, where all the officers' wives are lavishly celebrating as they await the men's victorious return. We witness Nemesis, drunk with wonder and revenge, use of disarming humor and...(well, we can't tell you because that would spoil the surprise!), to wage an entirely different kind of war.

Gifts of War will be told using one actress, several poi/fire performers, and 6 classically trained dancers who have worked with 127th Street Dance Co., Ashanti Dances, Ballet Bellevue, and Khambatta Dance Company. Choreography draws influence from various forms including ballet, Butoh, tango, and African movement. Join us for an evening of music, movement, and theatre for a story that beings in ecstatic, wild frivolity evolving to  the disturbing realties of violence.
