The 5th Annual Fairfax County Dance Coalition Gala Showcase

The Fairfax County Dance Coalition puts your "Imagination in Motion" as it presents its fifth annual Dance Gala Showcase. This is one of the best dance events in the area featuring ten significant Fairfax County dance companies and it is a unique opportunity to appreciate a showcase of dance styles. Performing dance companies are:

* Encore Theatrical Arts Project
* Metropolitan Youth Ballet
* Nrityanjali Dance Company
* The Ballet Arts Ensemble of Fairfax
* The Fairfax Ballet
* The Kintz-Mejia Academy of Ballet
* Virginia Ballet Company
At this Gala Showcase you can enjoy the creative interpretations of dance movement, embrace the variety of dance talent, and experience the power of dance. It's a celebration of dance in Fairfax County! Please come and join us for a unique and wonderful gala dance show. It's a not to be missed event.
An added highlight of the annual Gala is the announcement of the two 2014 - 2015 Fairfax County Dance Coalition member graduating high school seniors who will be recipients of $1000 dance scholarship awards. One scholarship award is provided by the Fairfax County Dance Coalition and the second by the Arts Council of Fairfax County.
Also performing will be a new dance by the winner of the Fairfax County Dance Coalition 2014 Emerging Choreographers Competition.
As always, the popular Open Gala Reception immediately follows the Dance Gala Showcase!
Online ticket sales will end 6 hours prior to the Gala. Ticket will also be available at the box office prior to the show for a slightly higher cost.
Credit cards will NOT be accepted at the box office.
ABOUT US: Formed in 2008 as a community voice for dance, the Fairfax County Dance Coalition focuses on creating county-wide performance opportunities, expanding and improving performance venues for dance, presenting emerging choreography, advancing dance education, providing dance scholarships, and enriching the cultural fabric of Fairfax County.
