Maxim's in collaboration with Shades N Love Incorporated LLC presents a 4 day celebration in conjunction with Seattle Pride Fest. This event is not exclusive to the LGBTQ community. We're planning for anybody who celebrates diversity.
The festivities begin on Thursday, 26 June 2014 at 9:00 PM. Sonorra (Street) McMath, Jo (Paradigm) Roberts, and Finn Cottom will grace the stage with some of the best poetry, comedy, and readings from award nominated literature. Deidra Hughey is skyping in on the big screen with an erotic presentation that's sure to set your hair on fire. The event is hosted by Briq House, FireNights Seattle, the most requested hostess in the LGBTQ community. DJ Lady Jane is spinning the ones and twos for the evening.
On Friday, 27 June 2014, we "Get Lifted": The LGBTQ Revue. Come prepared to see, hear, and dance to some of the hottest live performances by LGBTQ entertainers from around the United States. This evening is all about those who want to hear and dance to live music. Nobody cares about your attire, hair, or make-up, because we're getting lifted. Expect performances by our local artist Militant Child. Out of Fort Worth, Texas is ENVI BABI V.O.F., and out of California is Unofficial Fresh. Our headliner is Look Alive from season one of the award nominated web series BW.
Saturday, 28 June 2014, is our Unity Ball, Tuxedos and Gowns: It's a Black Tie Affair. No pull overs, t-shirts, throw backs, denim, and absolutely no sneakers.
We start the evening with a full course meal followed by our featured entertainment, BOYeurism, with Isaiah Tillman out of Portland, Oregon, but you may purchase a ticket to experience the show without the dinner. Desert is brought to you from Bessie Cakes. After 10pm we open the doors to those who just want to dress and party, at which time the DJ will keep the party pumping. We might have a surprise performance lined up for the evening.
Sunday, 29 Jun 2014, at 5:00 PM, join us for Sinema with Street. We intend to screen an unreleased MPower production with Noble Julz. The director and some of the actors will be available for a Q&A after the film.
This event works nicely with the Seattle Pride Fest Parade, because doors open at 1:00 pm for those looking for a place to hang out after the parade. Hang around until the movie begins, and view the movie at a discounted rate.
Books, t-shirts, and photos available on location for purchase. Purpelle Tramble of Purple Reel Productions will be available for the weekend to provide keepsake photos.
All sales are final. We reserve the right to augment the entertainment due to cancellations, illness, or no-shows. VIP is not wheelchair accessible. Dress code for 28 June 2014 is strictly enforced. No refunds for inappropriate attire. This is a 21 and over event.
Thank you for planning your evening with Maxim's and Shades N Love Incorporated LLC. We trust you'll have an excellent experience.
