Workshop #1, November 1, cancelled due to low enrollment
Workshop #2, November 8, cancelled due to low enrollment
Workshop #3, November 15, 10:30am-1:30pm, Environment & Biases Part three provides concrete strategies for creating a successful classroom environment. We'll explore what it means to be "on" in the classroom, which teaching tools help our students and which might hinder their ability to be seen and heard, and hidden biases that we all possess.
You'll walk away from this series a better educator with more self-awareness, mindfulness in the classroom and compassion for yourself and others.
Workshops integrate theater, movement, visual arts, writing, and mindfulness activities to creatively engage your self-reflection and desire to grow into more awareness and successful relationships. All activities model things you can use in your classroom and ideas to bring more integrated arts to every facet of learning.
Whether you are already engaged in these life skills or not, everyone can benefit from this new toolkit of conscious language, communication skills, creative outlets and a safe space for self-expression. Not only will your classroom benefit, but each participant will find themselves better equipped to recognize healthy choices, make empowered decisions and live mindfully. Step into your potential and grow through the arts!
