Team Maryland Roller Derby Clinic

Do you have a sad derby-face right now because you just can't make it to NEDC, ECDX or Rollercon? Well SMRD is here to help with a half-day clinic that is close to home and super affordable!

Two sessions on two courts will be held (12:00pm-2:00pm and 2:00pm-5:00pm) on Sunday, June 5th featuring different skills during each.

SCHEDULE:

FIRST SESSION (12:00pm-2:00pm), TWO COURTS OF NON-CONTACT (All Skill Levels):

Blocking 101: Agility for speed and an intro to micro-movements; micro-movements for effective and successful blocking

Jamming 101: Speeding you up with proper jamming form and utilizing smart stops for explosiveness while jamming

SECOND SESSION (2:00pm-5:00pm), Continuation of skills from the 101 classes for skaters cleared for full contact (Intermediate and above):

Blocking 201 (two hours): Intro to advanced blocking and application of advanced blocking skills in game-play scenarios

Jamming 201 (two hours): Intro to advanced jamming and techniques for success and application of advanced jamming skills in game-play scenarios

SCRIMMAGE against Team Maryland!! (One Hour)

Off skates Coach/Trainer tickets are available for each session! Purchase of any off skates coach ticket also gets you into the special one hour Bench Staff Clinic that will run from 3pm to 4pm!

There may be tickets available at the door for a higher price, but you should get yours here today so you can ensure your spot for all the derby goodness! Come learn with SMRD and Team Maryland!
