Natalia Zukerman / Caleb Hawley
"Natalia's voice could send an orchid into bloom while her guitar playing can open a beer bottle with its teeth." New Yorker

"a strutting brass band one minute, a sighing lover the next." The Boston Globe

Natalia Zukerman grew up in New York City, studied art at Oberlin, worked in mural arts in San Francisco, began her songwriting career in Boston, and now resides, writes, plays and paints in Brooklyn, NY. The daughter of classical musicians Eugenia and Pinchas Zukerman, Natalia found her sound in other strings  those on slide guitar, lap steel, dobro. She found kinship in the earthiness and honesty of folk, bluegrass, jazz and blues music.

Since 2001, Zukerman has released six studio albums and one live album  2013s Gypsies & Clowns, which was recorded live at SPACE in Evanston, IL. For the shows, Zukerman invited a big group of her musical friends to present over twenty songs from her catalogue, including the well-known tracks "Gas Station Roses," "Brand New Frame" and "Howard Hughes." Zukerman has also performed at such festivals as Lilith Fair, Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Philadelphia Folk Fest, Michigan Womyns Fest, Sisters Folk Festival, Rocky Mountain Folk Fest and more. Her new album Come Thief, Come Fire is out 9/16 on Talisman Records.

"The New York-based musician has a flair for soulful songwriting and a voice that will blow your hair back." - The Chicagoist

Harlem's Caleb Hawley is an American soul singer, songwriter and performer. Like savvy throwback crooners Mayer Hawthorne and Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Hawley channels early Stevie Wonder and other Motown sounds into a complete, magnetic package.

Raised in Minneapolis by a family of preachers and therapists, Hawley's family fueled his on-stage charisma and perceptive, witty lyrics. "Growing up in an acapella church, we didn't have instruments. It forced everyone to learn how to sing harmony," Hawley says. "We mostly sang older hymns, which is probably what drew me to gospel and eventually soul music." Hawley's grandfather hooked him on an early Ray Charles record, leading him into the fertile soul music of the sixties and seventies.

Hawley spent his early 20's touring the country with only an acoustic guitar and his dog Fargo. "There's no place I'd rather be than on a stage in front of people wanting to hear music I've created," Hawley says. In those years, Hawley racked up hundreds of gigs, along with multiple songwriting awards for the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, Telluride Troubadour Competition, SongCircle Contest and more.
