One More Walkaround Documentary Premiere
The most fascinating pilot in the history of the Air Force isn't a household name like Chuck Yeager or Bob Hoover.  And that's fine with General Slay.

A four-star general in the late '70s and early '80s, General Alton Slay is known as the architect of today's modern Air Force. As Commander of Air Force Systems Command, his officers and engineers developed and fielded modern aircraft such as the F-15, the F-16, the A-10, and the B-1.  It was the height of the Cold War and the need for a capable Air Force was crucial to our nation's defense.  General Slay delivered.

But few people know of his own incredible flying stories in a career dating all the way back to 1944.  From his daring landing on a makeshift runway in the jungles of Guatemala to his flights to the edge of space in a rocket-powered test aircraft, he flew almost every aircraft in the Air Force inventory.  A combat pilot in two wars, General Slay's logbook is filled with hazardous--and often classified--missions, aircraft ejections, and near-calamities.

Now 90 years old, General Slay recently toured the National Museum of the United States  Air Force.  His incredible flying history came to life as he walked around the more than one hundred aircraft he commanded.  With Lt General Aloysius Casey, USAF (ret)  at his side, he gave us the honor of One More Walkaround.

Jointly sponsored by the Air Force Academy Societies of North Carolina and Washington, DC, we cordially invite you to come celebrate the career of a true American hero.

Join General and Mrs. Slay as we honor him at the world premiere of a documentary that shows us what courage and dedication is.
