Winner of the MIT IDEAS Global Challenge and US Creative Business Cup 2012, IndianRaga is an MIT-based digital music education startup that promotes young talent in Indian classical and allied musical genres, and creates new-age music videos that are relevant and relatable to the younger generation. I am writing to you with a request to support the prestigious IndianRaga Fellowship by means of sponsorship, tax-deductible 501 c(3) donations, or any form of matching grant that your organization may provide.
The IndianRaga Fellowship brings together the most talented young musicians from Indian classical music, selected by a panel of international judges and experts. The program gives talented young musicians an opportunity to work intensively on a new creative idea in a team, with the support of facilitators in an environment that encourages innovation and creative risk-taking. Fellows engage in an artistically rigorous process with peers from Indian and international genres to create a visual experience for their music, and to make Indian classical music relevant to a global audience. IndianRaga Fellows become part of a growing network of peers and collaborators to support their life-long musical journey.
